Editor I am a professional editor and proofreader of academic books and journals. Between 2001 and 2008 I worked as an in-house copy editor, proofreader, compositor, and production editor for book publishers. This experience makes me uniquely qualified to polish your book or journal and prepare it for publication. I established Diligent Editorial in 2006 and since then have provided careful, thoughtful editorial services to university presses and to authors who seek to publish with university presses and academic journals. Although I work most frequently with Chicago Manual of Style, I also work accurately and consistently in APA style, SAA style, and other discipline-specific styles, and I easily assimilate various house styles. I consult numerous other reference books to supplement these primary style and usage guides. I am highly skilled with MS Word, and I use macros and other tools to ensure that the final manuscripts are clean and consistently edited. I hold a BA in English with a concentration in Language, Writing, and Rhetoric, awarded by the University of Maryland, College Park. |
